Erin Rehil was born and raised in Flint, Michigan, where she lives today. In 2006 she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia, with minors in both Drawing and Graphic Design. Additionally, Erin has studied art in varying capacities in Detroit, London, and Mexico City. She presently works as a freelance illustrator and fine artist, having participated in a number of group exhibitions in addition to her commissioned work.
Erin is an ethical artist who believes in the powerful impact of pictures on the course of human history, and urges visual artists to create responsibly and with heart. She supports arts education and is a proud member of the Graphic Artists Guild. Erin chooses to paint with acrylic because of its versatility and superior drying time. Her glazing technique is a welcome alternative to today's slick, mechanical trends in illustration.
